In a recent dream, I found myself standing in the hallway of my old office. It felt exactly as it always had, but I was not the same. For months, I had felt a mounting physical toll—a heaviness in my limbs that no amount of sleep could cure. My body was speaking a language my mind was trying to ignore. I was out of alignment.

We often try to push through exhaustion, calling it "diligence," but sometimes that fatigue is God’s kindness.

It makes the "old" uncomfortable enough that we finally look for the "new." As I walked past the doors of colleagues I had known for years, I realized I could hear their voices, but the words were unintelligible. It was as if I was listening through a thick glass wall.

In that moment, a quiet clarity settled in my chest: I wasn't supposed to understand them anymore. My time in that building had come to an end. It wasn't a realization born of frustration; it was a "resignation of the spirit."

The Lord’s word to me in that moment was precise and intense: "Before you can come up, you must come out."

When I stepped outside, I faced a magnificent river. The water was crystal clear but moved with a powerful, crashing roar. To reach the "next," I had to get to the other side, but the current looked far too strong for my weary legs.

We often think of transitions as sturdy bridges that keep our feet dry, but God often asks us to face the river itself.

Suddenly, without a single splash, I found myself standing on the opposite shore. The transition that looked impossible had been navigated for me. I walked into a glass building where a woman sat on a wooden bench. I handed her a book I had carried for a long time—a record of my past work and the identity I had built. She smiled and handed it back.

"This book is finished," she said. "Now, you need to write a new book with a new subject."

I realized then that the river wasn't an obstacle; it was a boundary meant to wash off the dust of the old assignment.

We cannot take the baggage of the old office into the glass building of our future. Our Creator, Elohim, is the Architect of our purpose. He doesn't just call us to a vacuum; He calls us to a prepared work.

As Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV) reminds us: "Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

We don't have to worry about how we will cross the river. We only have to be willing to walk out the door when the voices fall silent and trust the One who has already shelved our next chapter.
