HAVING THE PRIME OF MY LIFE
NOTE BY LINDA WOOD RONDEAU, BLOG OWNER
Frank is a fellow panelist for the group, The Writers View. I have enjoyed his insights, and especially his poetry.

I’m a fellow of questions—yes, questions galore.
If a thought knocks once, I go answer the door.
Whenever I hear something curious or new,
My mind begins to ponder. “Is it really true?”
In school, after hearing my chalk-dusted guide,
I’d lift my hand from curiosity welling up inside.
The teacher had said something I didn’t know,
So I added my what-if question to the show.
Often, she’d explain with a nod and a smile,
But sometimes she’d sigh, pausing for a while.
Her eyes seemed to say, without speaking a word,
“Let’s finish the lesson before we chase birds.”
My mornings with God are a different affair.
I write him a letter and expose my thoughts there.
I tell him my worries, although he knows them all,
Then pile up my questions, both big and small.
I chatter and ponder and scribble away,
About this and that at the start of the day.
Then sometimes I hush and listen a bit
To silence that settles in, right where I sit.
Once in a while, in the stillness so deep,
A thought sneaks om, awakened from sleep.
A whisper of wonder, a spark in the air,
A hint of an answer is suddenly there.
So thoughts go rumbling, and questions take flight,
Like kites catching breezes of the day’s first light.
They whirl and they wander, soaring high in the sky.
And they land with insights that brighten my eye.
Then I have to write them down in a hurry—
Or the ideas are gone, leaving in a flurry.
I must do it now, or they’ll wander away,
Like clouds that are gone by noon each day.
Questions, I have found, are remarkable things.
They open up doors, and they give your mind wings.
So if one pops in while you’re thinking or planning,
Write down the thought—before it goes scrambling.

Looking for words and ways to help people with stories
ABOUT FRANK BALL
After thirty years of computer programming and business administration, Frank abandoned the technology he loved most to pursue what he hated most: writing and teaching. Why? Several vivid dreams led him to believe God wanted his life to go in a different direction. Therefore, in the last thirty years, writing and teaching have been among his greatest treasures in life.
He learned that if people want to experience God and fulfill The Great Commission, they need to tell their life-changing stories. Well-crafted stories deliver an experience of truth that the audience can’t reject.
For ten years, he directed North Texas Christian Writers to help members improve their writing and storytelling skills. In 2018, he joined the Roaring Lambs ministry to encourage and equip all Christians to tell their life-changing stories. He has taught at writing conferences and churches across the U.S. and Canada. Besides writing his own books, he does ghost writing, editing, and graphic design to help others publish high-quality books.
A widower since 2003, he has three married sons, seven grandchildren, and lives in a Fort Worth, Texas, suburb
ABOUT TEN THINGS TO PONDER BOOK 2

From Leonardo da Vinci to Thomas Edison, great minds have risen above typical thought to explore possibilities, enjoy adventure, and make amazing discoveries.
Discover the truth yourself by stirring your God-given reasoning power.
With a diverse range of perspectives in your pursuit of truth, better understand where you are, where you’re headed, and what eternity has to offer.
Explore new thoughts and ask questions, causing your mental agility to soar.
Energize your creative gifts and sharpen your ability to hear God’s voice.
Ponder different perspectives about life.
Improve relationships, both with God and people.
Share these thoughts for captivating discussions that bridge the gap between different viewpoints and help you make lifelong friends.
Cultivating your inquisitive mind is your ticket to a world of wonder and innovation.
