PLEASE WELCOME
DALE LANGLOIS
TO
HAVING THE PRIME OF MY LIFE
I think I have this retirement thing figured out:
We've seen the Atlantic, from the South to the North.
Mexico, Maine, there, back and forth.
Caught some walleye and perch,
and my best smallmouth bass.
My last fishing trip,
isn't my last!
I crave adventure, I need one each day.
My adventurous body is slipping away
I can't climb high mountains or run a 5 K
I can still walk the woods,
and that is okay.
Like time... pace is relevant to the observer.
I'm happy with the pace I'm taking.
ABOUT DALE
Dale started writing in his mid-forties without even knowing how to type. A book from the local library and two days of practice sped up his goal, but he still needed help from others with writing skills, something rare in the rural area he lives. He approached the retired editor of the local newspaper, and then drove fifty miles to the nearest writing group he could find. Eventually he found The Adirondack Center for Writing in Paul Smiths. There he met other authors who have reached their dreams and he learned from them, he also met literary agents and publishers who taught him the industry.

ABOUT THE SECOND INTELLIGENT SPIECIES
And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all fles
h be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth." Genesis 9:11
The Earth burns.
Nick and Beth survive, but few others do. Were they just in the right place at the right time, to live, to pass what they have learned to their offspring, or is there an even deeper reason? Is it God's or Nature's plan? Others survive and a clan developes. Ancient skills are revived, few have the knowledge needed.
"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change."
