HAVING THE PRIME OF MY LIFE
The Baby Boomer Generation is a huge blessing to me. They are so wonderful. I probably have more friends in that generation than my own. I’ve got this great writer friend who has a few decades on me, and she’s been invaluable to me. And we’ve had some fun adventures together.
When we first became friends a couple of years ago, we just wanted to bounce ideas around for our books. But it quickly blossomed into one of my most valuable friendships. We get together for coffee regularly and talk books and marketing and most importantly life. She’s one of the highlights of my month. If I need encouragement, she’s there for me. If I need a kick in the right direction, she’s my gal. And she’s got years of experience in the writing world that has helped me a lot. Her godly advice has saved the day more than once.
My friend doesn’t mind driving but I hate it, so it’s another way that we fit together so well. We’ve travelled to meet a couple of famous writers together. I couldn’t be happier to sit in the passenger seat and gab away while she deals with Northern Virginia traffic. We have worked some book events together, too. I’m not the loner kind of person so having her with me makes the adventure that much better.
I thank God that He saw fit to put us together. Everyone in this world is valuable no matter how old or young they are.
I like this verse in Leviticus 19:32(New King James Version). It says, “You shall rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old man…”. I do honor, respect, and love the gray headed beauties in my life. They add the salt and pepper I’d be missing if they weren’t in it.
Never think your day has come and gone. Someone still needs you—and your wisdom—for sure.
ABOUT ERIN UNGER
Erin Unger was raised in the hills of Virginia, exploring abandoned houses and reading the scariest books she could find. After marrying so young it would make a great romance novel, she has enjoyed an exciting life with her hubby. But her fast-paced life sometimes rivals the suspense in her books thanks to all her mostly grown children and a couple of grandkids.

ABOUT FATEFUL FALL
Private Investigator Ava Worthington and her partners head to the mountains to solve the death of a farmer owner’s son who was discovered murdered in an outhouse on the property. Without local cowboy Cory’s protection, Ava won’t get the chance to follow leads as the killer tries to stop her investigation. But Ava’s falling for Cory against her better judgment. She should be working and not pining after a cowboy. And Cory doesn’t want a relationship. His successful career was destroyed by a woman he trusted, and he won’t make the same mistake twice.
One suspect after another is cleared from Ava’s list until she’s sure she has the real killer targeted in her sights, but he’s hunting her, too. How will Ava and Cory find the killer and admit their love before they are buried under a mountain of secrets?
